it was unique for the time, mixing that NY art punk with disco/dance pop/funk, African/Latin music, and almost proggy conceptual ambitions

I honestly don't even like it, I think they weren't as good as Lizzy Mercier Descloux... I even prefer Mink DeVille... but even with that they're still one of the most innovative bands of their era
