What's the verdict on Kanye West's newest album, The Life of Pablo?
>>64336436
better than mbdtf
I'm still waiting on all of the versions to be available other than just as shared files.
>>64336436
Already one of my favorite albums of all time.
Heaps and heaps of personality and rawness. along with memerizing production and great attention to detail.
>>64336436
8/10
not really an album, just a mess of songs.
that being said, 30 hours, real friends, no more parties, ultralight beam, fml, and father stretch pt 1 are really good.
MBDTF>LR=CD>TLOP>Grad=808s>WTT>CS
Some great songs but theres way to much filler. Really seemed like Kanye just wanted something to play at his fashion show and rushed together and incomplete album, could have been great but he clearly didn't care enough about it. All in all 4/10 maybe 5 if I'm generous.
Pretty disappointing
>>64336600
this but only No More Parties is good
>>64336436
I won't say it was as good as MBDTF, but it's got a lot of replay value
Anyone got a link to the new ver.?
How does it differ from the original?
"bump"
It's really good up until low lights. But it gets better. Ultralight, father stretch 1&2, and famous are really the best tracks

>LR at the bottom

There's one on kickass.to. Not huge changes but all the tracks have been cleaned up and balanced (like how Rihanna vocals were extremely loud on the Tidal release)
Some new verses and instrumentals. Definitely an improvement

This is asked every single day without fail
>>64338280
Maybe I should give it another listen. I hated it the first time through
>If I get bleach on my t shirt imma feel like an asshole
What did he mean by this
Wow there are people that actually think Kanye makes good music. I forget about it but then I come on here and it makes me want to choke all of you to death.
>>64338575
Nice bait. Here's your reply
>>64338644
It's not even bait but people on /mu/ are retarded enough to think it is. Goddamn you faggots listen to some bullshit.
>>64336436
6/10
Disappointed with it
>>64338657
>actually thinking Kanye is bad
Damn dude I feel bad for you,
shit, just like everything that he has ever done and will ever do
>>64338768
Actually my life is a lot better without his trash beats and lyrics in my ears
>>64338844
Name your top couple artists/groups/bands
Also nice dub dub dub
Just like most Kanye albums; listenable and at some points enjoyable, but over hyped to the fucking sun and back. Good tracks are ruined by Kanyes shitty "deconstructivist" lyricism (bleached assholes, GoPro on muh dikk, sandwich in the fridge, etc). Kanye is never the strongest part of a song somebody else is in and not the strongest part of the album (Ultralight Beam, Famous, Father Stretch My Hands, etc).
Just another moderately interesting release from a moderately interesting musician that gets *way* too much fucking credit. I don't even say this in a sour grapes sort of way; this guy just gets a lot of attention for shit other people pioneered.
>>64338768
If TLOP is the first album someone hears from Kanye I can understand why they would think he's shit.
>>64338965
What'd you think about Highlights? Personally, Highlights is a strong part of the album and his verses are strong and flow well over the minimal kicks, 808s and snaps.
>>64338974
True enough
>>64336436
its shit, just like 99% of anything his has done.
>>64336600
>mess of songs
fuck you, everything is a concept album
this is just an album, clean and simple
>>64339134
But it was clearly meant to have a concept, but Kanye got lazy and rushed out some bullshit for Yeezy Season 3
>>64339036
>verses are strong
I would firmly disagree with this. He basically spins his tires about three minutes. The production is good, but that's only a part of the song and I'm willing to wager that Kanye was largely uninvolved in it, although that is just speculation.
There's nothing worse than Kanye ruining an otherwise good song with shitty lyrics, but he apparently likes doing it so more power to him. Bound 2 was the only time it worked out really well and only because Rick Rubin polished it up matching over-the-top lyrics with really busy, grating production. People who say he ruined Yeezus can fuck off.
