You can point to a bunch of artistic decisions in this song that are just poorly thought out. For example:
The delivery on the line "I don't know..." in the original had a space at the second half to emphasize the uncertainty and fear in that statement. In this cover Ronnie doesn't put that in or anything to take it's place. He just kind of sings the line like it's any other.
Anything involving pitch modulation in this song is unintentionally funny and it's what lands this song in every one of these threads. I think that artistic decision was a poor choice if you wanted to take this cover seriously.
