Why is this album so well liked?
>hipster approved
>"deep"
I thought /mu/ hated it now
both burst apart and familiars are better, ppl just overhype this one for its """""deep""""" story
I wish the Antlers had stayed a solo project. peter might have seriously been putting out things as good as Uprooted and ITAOTU for like 10 years now, he would probably be my favorite artist ever
Because it's one of the only album I know of that puts perfectly into words what it's like to live in an abusive relationship. I love how human he is when talking about his girlfriend.
She ruined his life for a few years but he knows she's mentally sick, unhappy, had a shitty childhood and can't control herself. So he doesn't shit on her and wishes things could be different and she could be "saved"
It's a nice change of all the "I don't need u anymor u ain getin dat pussy boy" break up songs.

Yeah this
Basically because muh feels
I just think it sounds good
plus, feels
I love it but for some reason /mu/ hates it now.
There's this called a "Honeymoon Phase" when you have an immature/sensitive sense of mine like I do. If something hits you and slides into this phase you are overwhelmed by it and accept it as really really good. This album has the highest "slide potential" I've ever seen.
Nobody talks about it past the hour they first heard it. Just a guess doh
