Idk man, even though I work hard for this shit, I've made friends with music majors. One guy who kinda mentored me just graduated from Berklee as a jazz-composition major. He was diligent af, but then again, he moved here from Japan lol. I'm also friends with a dude who's going to the New School in NY and he makes a living off of playing gigs while going to school. I mean, he did tell me that NYC can get depressing and you can get fucked over a lot, but overall he seems to be living a pretty good life.
I'm just poor af and always have been, so gotta make do. Besides, music schools and even non-music-schools actually make their music majors study individually with teachers as part of their program. It's just the student loans that don't really make sense to me.
