Definitely over hyped but one night I decided to listen to it and watch the accompanying video. I ended up just sitting and watching it for over an hour and it was oddly soothing.
There never needed to be more than one. The first one is a very interesting piece on it's own but everything following that just isn't worth it.

Basinski takes himself a little too seriously and for me it affects my opinion of works like this. This obviously didn't take much though to make and it's context "significance" and hype seems to have been attached after the fact. That being said the D-loops are really beautiful sonically but there is much better tape music out there and better works by Basinski himself.
