Fun Fact: Tony Hawk 1 introduced me to the Dead Kennedys
I was already into punk rock, back in my day there was no streaming music so everything was word of mouth. I liked buying records from the past like Black Flag etc. I had heard of Dead Kennedys, but never heard their music.
I went to the record store and saw Plastic Surgery Disasters, and it had the starving black kid hand on it...
now I figured, "oh it's gonna be like mean spirited metal music, jock shit" and didnt buy it
A few months later we were playing Tony Hawk at a friends house and it had Police Truck and I was like "Holy shit, this is the best band ever!"
