How did a 24 year old do this
Obviously it was a fluke.
There's also the theory that an artist has one great work in him, and everything else is either trying to fully realize that work, or recreate it.
How did a bunch of 22 year olds make this?

>>64254524
He stole it from a 25 year old
>>64254352
Eh, Private Press was pretty damn good too
Endtroducing... was definitely his best, but it wasn't a fluke. Just another case of an artist's debut album being his greatest accomplishment despite other fine work later on.
If you think about it there are probably more great albums by people under 25 than there are by people over 25.

and how did he write some of the songs when he was 16
>>64255145
>wrote some of the songs when he was 16
it makes so much sense
I'm almost 22. Still can't make a decent song despite learning Ableton and production for 4 years.
Might an hero, seriously.
If you all spent as much time focused on being creative as you do browsing and shitposting on 4chan, you might come up with something great as well. But you won't, because you're all too fucking lazy and apathetic, like me.
>>64255156
why
>>64254538
what?
How did a couple of 19 year olds do this
>>64255209
It's a reference to Christian Vander (drummer of french prog rock band Magma) claiming that Mike Oldfield stole one of the melodies on Tubular Bells from a Magma piece called "La Dawotsin". They do honestly sound kind of similar.
http://magma.fan.free.fr/info003.html
Ignore the french text, basically just listen to the two embedded songs.
>>64255174
any time ur about to an hero take that energy and make some shit in ableton
eventually youll have ultra dark moody deep album that'll get memed on /mu/ where it'll receive the attention of pitchfork to a 9.1 score review leading to lods of emone

How did a 12 and 14 year old do this
>>64255270
>french fuck is just jealous
You realize that it can't just be mere coincidence that both Oldfield and Magma were in the studio at the same time and both melodies sound very similar although in different keys, right? Rhythmically they follow the same basic pattern, that can't be just a coincidence.
And it sounds nothing like the Bach piece. Most Oldfield fans find that part very difficult to believe themselves.

>>64258839
There's a reason all rappers are able to make stuff so young.
>>64258906
yeah, wide availability of studio-level technology
I've been making music since I was 12 or so, and a lot of my old stuff had some really interesting ideas that I wouldn't think of these days. A lot of stupid ideas as well, to be fair, but there is some gold in there. I just lacked the ability to make finished, complete pieces. If I'd had access to a studio, industry contacts etc, I'd like to think I could have got somewhere. Most of these people who were precociously talented AND became famous, usually did so because of having wealth and/or other privileges.
