Musically uninteresting to me, and the lyrics were incredibly grating. I predicted nearly every single rhyme he made, it was Dick & Jane level wordplay. A few of the lyrics on there made me cringe. Nose and toes being rhymed several times, that line about "being bold with Harry, Mark & John" from Monday to Thursday, some of the songs sounding like a label was trying to squeeze hits out of him (Satellite Of Love especially), and then New York Telephone Conversation sounding like music from Playhouse Disney, but with Lou Reed on top of it.
I didn't enjoy any of it. It's not the worst thing I've ever heard by any means, but I gave it 3 listens and don't want to sit through it again.
I'm kind of upset, honestly. I came in expecting to enjoy it.

It's seriously dope as fuck man. I was pretty apprehensive before listened to it (musical + hip hop = ???) but they pulled it really, really well. I highly recommend you give it a try: the story is amazing, told really well, and musical themes and motifs carry out throughout the record which gives it a really awesome way to callback earlier moments in the story.
