He was a decent semi-successor to DJ Shadow, but he wore out his welcome pretty quick

The Third Hand was new direction for RJD2, he moved away from hip-hop to indie, sorta like Danger Mouse. That was a mistake imo, he was never good after that (ie The Colossus is worse than Third Hand)
