No.
>>
objectively it's a 10 but i really cant listen to it anymore after classic rock radio ruined it
>>
8/10
Wish You Were Here and Animals are much better though imo desu senpai
>>
>>64247630
never listened to it, probably never will.
>>
>>64247630
Its a solid 9/10. however, the first two tracks kind of kill it for me. I know that they build up to Time and all but I feel two tracks is too long for a build up.
>>
8.5
>>
It's a 7/10.

Extremely overrated. It's cohesive but the individual songs sound dated and almost never really impacted me. Its themes are rudimentary and simplistic. The guitar solos are too ostentatious and showy, and the lyrics are pretentious.

It's a 7/10. It shouldn't be #2 on RYM but nostalgia and conformity help it maintain its position

9/10.
Solid concept, very solid excecution. I hold a lot of nostalgia with this because along with OK Computer this was the first album I got
>>
10/10

Fucken legendary m8
>>
8/10

quite amazing but a bit slow to build up and money is out of place
>>
Not Led Zep IV but still pretty legendary/10

Animals will always be their best though.

5/10 rock music is a joke

The wall definitely pulls off the themes of this album better but I still love dark side
>>

listen to it. good-ass record tbperfectlyhonest
>>
A reluctant ten.

/mu/ likes Meme Floyd now
what went wrong familia
>>
9.5
>>
>>64250152
We always liked them. The meme was pretending to not like them.
>>
8 to 9

If On The Run were shorter, it would get a straight 9.
>>
>>64247630
7/10 it's good, but i never want to go back to it, Animals is better.
>>
9.5/10

Money throws off the entire vibe of the album before and after it comes up
>>
What's the exact fahrenheit of absolute zero? That's how I rate this album and every Pink Floyd album that followed.
>>
>>64247630
Pretty great. 8.5-9/10

Would be 10/10 without Money
>>
>>64250152
As long as it's not the whiny garbage that was released when they gave Roger Waters too much freedom, I like Pink Floyd
>>
>>64247630
10/10 but fucking hipsters ruined it though
>>
>>64249784
HOLY FUCK
STOP THIS SHITTY FORCED MEME

MONEY IS NOWHERE NEAR THE WORST SONG
THIS MEME IS AWFUL

6,5/10
Probably the most overrated album ever.
>>
>>64250859
The Wall has its moments here and there desu
>>
>>64250913
You obviously do not understand the concept of opinions. Not everyone is a fan of their bullshit.
>>
>>64251009
Yeah I suppose not everyone knows music theory.
>>
>>64250968
no it doesnt
>>
>>64249784
brace yourself for the unpopular opinion. Us and Them drags on for way too long making it super boring

You just don't get how deep The Wall is. It's like, there's this wall around him, and the wall symbolizes a wall.
>>
>>64251115
>OMG LE WALL MEME
>>
>>64250968
Are you sure you're old enough to browse this board?
>>
>>64251035
I do. It doesn't change the fact that Rick Wright is the only worthwhile thing on the whole album, making it a maximum 7/10.
>>
>>64251115
an all in all it was just another brick in the wall... damn...
>>
>>64251115
>>64251167
Wait wait guys. I think when he says "we don't need no education" the "we" is referring to himself! It's a bit odd but it makes sense!
Truly a visionary

10/10

I know it's now overrated.
But it's a perfect progressive album,

if you say anything less you clearly don't get it and need to experience life more

He never said money was bad just out if place
>>
>>64251221
You first. Why would I do all the dirty work for some faggot on the internet?
>>
>>64251268
How is it out of place?
>>
>>64251268
Still a shitty forced meme
>>
>>64251276
>You first
You made the initial claim, the burden of proof is on you.

Nice misdirection though, non-theoryfag
>>
>>64250906

It's out of place though. Definitely doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the album, it felt like they wrote money as it's own song and decided to throw it onto the album to pad it out since the lyrics vaguely match the theme.
>>
>>64251310
>the lyrics vaguely match the theme
Then it fits the rest of the album
>>
>>64251298
Nice projection non-theory fag. Go read Kennan or whatever you high school students do
>>
>>64251286
>>64251279
Idk not the guy who said it just saying proge was freaking out about the guy calling it the worst song on the album and he never said that
>>
>>64251339
Nah, not gonna work.
>>
>>64251323

lyrics are only a tiny part of a song, especially with something like Pink Floyd.

Look at The Wall and how all songs fit together even if you take out all the lyrics. In the Flesh bookends the album and has has the same underlying melody as Another Brick in the Wall and Comfortably Numb. You will find that same type of musical self-reference in every single song in the Dark Side of The Moon, except for money.
>>
>>64251423
>except for money
What about the sound effects? They reoccur throughout the album. Also the instrumentation and production style is similar, as is the harmonic structure
>>
>>64247630
7/10
the wall is so much better
10/10 to that
>>
>>64247630
7/10 It's pretty good senpai.

AND THE LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMB
LIES DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN
ON BROOOOOOOOOOOOAAADWAY
>>
>>64250661
I thought so to, but I bought it on vinyl and Side 1 ends before Money, so having to flip it over and start it, seems like a good enough point to put on something that breaks up the continuity of the album after the 'intermission'
