My moms a pretty big prince fan so I just have a lot of his songs embedded into my subconscious whether it be his biggest hits or deep cuts. I got really into purple rain again last summer and the title track makes me feel so nostalgic. I was just kinda shocked when I heard he died I was with a lot of people and it was weird talking to them and trying to imagine a prince less world just because his music had always been omnipresent in my life

I dunno, I liked and respected Bowie but I always preferred the groove and funkiness of Prince. As an icon his whole image also seemed more sincere and authentic to me in that it was much more consistent and not as dictated by trends.
