I used to LOVE playing jazz guitar in front of girls. It gave some sort of weird masochistic pleasure. I always knew they wouldn't get it so I played in the most complicated way I could. I enjoyed confused looks on their faces at the end of whatever I played. I knew that they understood how complex it was but didn't enjoy it, because they were too dumb to get it. Not knowing what to say, most of them would be like "wow, that was... good" and either walk away, or stick around for me to subtly make fun of them with comments like "you want me to play [insert basic overplayed song here] or something?" Looking back, I genuinely don't understand why I wanted everyone to hate me. It's okay, I play only to my looper now.
