Okay, I'm asking this completely honestly. I'm not trying to troll or start a flamewar.
Why do you guys care so much that artists like this die? They haven't released music you've enjoyed in a long time, they've lived good lives, and they've had almost no personal influence on you whatsoever beyond the art that they made.
My favourite band is Radiohead and I can't imagine being that sad when Thom kicks it. Just remember them for who they were and don't be sad about things you can't do anything about?
