Just getting around to listening to this for the first time and HOLY SHIT I AM LAUGHING MY ASS OFF.
I haven't had an album disorient me in such an unexpected manner in a long ass time; I have found myself saying out loud "What the actual FUCK am I listening to?" for the first time since... like Ween when I was 15.
I am blown away that something could evoke such a response from me again. Is this even music? Mostly not, probably, but holy fuck if I don't enjoy it.

It's a great album, probably one of the most accessible /mu/ core in my opinion. I liked it before I stumbled upon /mu/ in 2009 after years of shit posting on /b/. It never disoriented me though, I knew it was just guitar effects and a jazzmaster trem.
>what the ACTUAL fuck am I listening to
>is this even music
Loveless is the album that made you say that? It's not really very weird or inaccessible at all. This has to be bait

4/20 was yesterday, OP.

it's a pasta
>and as if by magic
PSA: If you don't "get" Loveless, it reflects poorly on you rather than on the album itself.
Now pasta away, f@m.

I do 'get' it. It's a cheap sonic (not musical) stunt of abusing the fact that certain vibrations or something provoke a faux-profound reflex in humans. I'm just not impressed.

It will make sense one you listen to it at least 3 more times (on different days).

I think you may have just defined music
>>64228497
I don't get how people don't 'get' this album or think it's something hard to listen to or whatever. It's seriously just fuzz and reverse verb on some great chord progressions and melodies.

IAAOTS is the most accesiable, very fun and its lyrics standout easily
Captain Beefhearts Trout mask Replica is utter garbage imo, i liked Moonlight in Vermont but most of the other shit is crap and the rest is just nonsense
