Nick Drake is the only artist I've listened from this college. What is the best album to start with The Beatles?

Curtis fuller is a based motherfucker.
+++Mingus, Coltrane
What's the appeal of krautrock? Among all 'prog subgenres', this is the one I haven't enjoyed what I've listened to. I only touched Tago Mago twice or something tho'

Canterbury free fazz, imagine it
>>64223758

my favourite is Abbey Road so I guess I'd say that but I'm not really the best person to ask

hi qt
>>64223916

>what is the appeal of krautrock
You aren't tell me the groovy ass bass and drums combo on Tago Mago part 1 don't do anything for you, right? That shit is just utterly addicting and fun. And part 2 is some of the eeriest and most disturbing experimental music I've heard in a while, and it's even more interesting when you realize that came out in fucking '71.
Basically, give it a few more spins. It's a grower
>>64223916
I'm trying to write part two of my next album
I want Univers Zero style melodies but can't fucking figure out how they write those things.
wew that album title reference.
Thanks for the sick rec famalamadingdangdong.

I always considered historical context more important than theory
But I've always been a sucker for history so

Listen to some artists influenced by krautrock and you might appreciate it more
Tortoise, Swell Maps, Boredoms etc.

i am in the sense that i have perfect pitch hearing and a pretty good sense of rhythm
