When will /mu/ stop calling everything a meme? It's getting annoying
this isn't even a good meme
nice meme
fuck death grips
No, because they don't actually know how to criticize music so "meme" is their go to criticism
also death grips just suck, so there's that
>complain about memes
>posts meme rap
the word "meme" is essentially the "cuck" of /mu/
/mu/tants are LITERALLY no different from /pol/tards.

Everything is a meme. 7-8 years ago memes were almost selected carefully. Now every little fuck in thing someone says is a meme.
Stop.
>>64213893
This is amazing! How have I missed this!?
>>64212939
I literally saw someone call someones soundcloud artwork a meme the other day, it was literally just a painting HOW IS THAT A MEME
IM A FUCKING JUG
>>64212939
agreed. calling something a meme here is like the generic insult use of "gay", except people here are split on whether meme is to be taken literally or figuratively and it gets confusing and frustrating.
>>64214607
I feel like >>64212994 was right in saying that it's because people can't think of legit criticisms.
It's seriously annoying though, anyone who likes anything remotely popular becomes a memer according to contrarians on /mu/.
>>64214852
It's not just /mu/. /sci/ calls any field they don't understand a meme. /sp/ calls successful sports teams memes. The word meme gave everyone an easy out to completely stop trying to come up with valid arguments.
Things need to stop being memes then
>>64213665
of course . . .
>>64215033
mind blown
>>64213927
I'm fuck in tired of memes too. Fuck in hell.
>>>it's gotten out of fucking hand
the thing is everybody fucking loved Death Grips on here like 2 months ago but once everyone liked it, it became a "meme", same thing is happening now with American Football and AnCo, I just really don't get it, is /mu/ really dumb enough to be an endless cycle of liking albums and then hating them once they realize that everyone likes them to be contrarian?
