Has any band ever topped the blissful beauty this record holds within it?
I mean, post-rock is basically crescendocore as of now, so yes
Honestly, no.
For me personally, gy!be got very close... but no, this shit is unique.

Im a fan of that album, but yes

Solid pick, this is in my top 10 easily... but Vaka and Samskeyti are the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Boooring album and the singer sounds like a retarded child

Everyone points to Agaetis as their Masterpiece, and although i love that album immensely and Vidrar Vel Ti Lloftarasa is most likely my favorite Sigur Rós song, ( ) is definitely their best album. Crescendocore done right.
>>64211823 is the only other Post-Rock album that can compete with it.
Sigur Ross 3 years prior with the album Agaetis Byrjun.

Yea, I don't really get why would anyone point Agaetis as their best, I really don't feel like it. ( ) is goat, yet I think vaka and samskeyti overshadow the rest of the album because they're so fucking perfect. In the end, Valtari remains as my personal favorite.

I think the more subdued and delicate nature of Laughing Stock makes it fit better as the "blissful beauty." It doesnt get as intense as (), except for maybe parts of Ascension Day. It works more on the sparsity of its instrumentation, like Valtari does, which in my mind is also more blissful than (). As for what is more beautiful generally, that comes more down to taste
while there's an active sigur ros thread
