His scores are probably accurate to him but he massively underrates things compared to how other people on RYM rate things, for example.

I love lot's of stuff he's given fours to, remember he gave Blackstar a three and hates the Beatles.
He's just a senile old Italian man, his site is good for learning about classical and jazz and music history etc but don't put much weight into what he says about your favorite artists.

and he doesn't hate the beatles nor david bowie, he just thinks they're overrated. he actually gave both artists several 6s and 7s despite disliking them personally
I actually agree with most of his ratings. He might take things a bit too personal at times tho.

Who cares, reviews don't matter anymore, you can listen to anything for free instantly and just decide for yourself if you like it. There's no risk like back in the day of buying a CD and not knowing if you would like it or not. I haven't payed attention to a review in years, at least in terms of it's "score". I can just listen to the album myself and decide.
