Souxsie sucks though.

Pretty great video. You guys should watch it.

We do occasionally. Lurk more.
Usually it descends into a shit fest about whether Siouxsie is Goth or Post Punk and about every modern band in the genre sucks ass. (See Blutengel)

Watched this a few weeks ago, definitely a great video.
What is the best Bauhaus record

>Usually it descends into a shit fest about whether Siouxsie is Goth or Post Punk
That's because of one asshat referencing this scene

Also /dark/ is probably looked over by image driven people here who just discovered post-punk. But I'm sure they can tell you what their favorite Swans album is!

I say the debut. Mask and The Sky's Gone Out are both fantastic records too.
Because /mu/ has notoriously bad taste

Thanks for that anon. Pretty interesting stuff and on point.
>>64192924
Props. Excellent video.

I do lurk some times, and I usually don't find post punk or goth discussed all that often.
Also, does it really matter to classify artists into specific genres? I thought post-punk was an umbrella with many sub-genres, goth being one of them.

It is. You're right. But try telling that to some of the people here.
Here's a good modern goth band:
The Soft Moon - Insides

This is good.
Sisters of Mercy are the shit. They are true gothic rock and roll. Most other acts are edgy caricatures.

It's this guy again...
how do you guys feel about deathrock?
personally, i like a few modern deathrock bands like catholic spit, fangs on fur, christ vs warhol, and a few others
goth rock died with peter steel. RIP sweet prince..
That's a coincidence, I had just put this record on before visiting mu. It's not too bad, I think I just only like the genre in small doses. Plus I don't know a ton of artists.
