I have thoroughly listened to that shitty album time and time again, and each time I am more perplexed as to how or why anyone would think its even remotely interesting, let alone good or great-tier. It is truly garbage.

I've never been able to listen to the whole kid a album. I fell asleep, otherwise spider land it's pretty different and amaze how someone whispering the lyrics and then screaming could be so interesting.

Spiderland struck out without really trying and created the framework for an entire subgenre.
Kid A tried to be innovative and just hit already well trodden territory from a new angle.
Point to Spiderland. Also it's not as overly long and occasionally self-indulgent.

Spiderland blows Kid A out of the water. Spiderland is interesting, innovative and doesn't drag on. (I feel if it had two more songs it could have seriously hindered the album).
Kid A (imo) has always been VERY boring. I've listened to it 5 times to see what the hype was, but it's just boring. There's nothing to get about it. It's just a straight borefest throughout the whole album.

No, I am (I mean, I'm 22, but still). My most listened to genres up to the end of 2015 were pop punk and emo. But I just don't get Spiderland at all.

To me what got me into Spider land was as the lyrics of good morning captain. And the synergy of the mumblings with that word weird guitar, i think it's pretty cool.
Spiderland is the patrician choice.
