These pieces started about 3 weeks ago with a ketamine/mushroom trip I had where I was taken out of this plane in the universe and became completely separated from reality, the result is the soundtrack to that trip (it sounds dumb but whatever). I sort of embraced the idea of Wabi Sabi after that within my music.

I can see you're trying to do similar stuff to GY!BE, but it isn't doing it for me personally. I think it's too clean and too quiet. It needs to be more visceral when loud (especially the drums because they are what lets down the project most) and more intimate when quiet. You're creating nice atmospheres though.

I'm a bit further in and there's a lot of interesting stuff, the vocal harmony is nice, bakground ambience with field recordings works well and it's cool when the vocals have electronic processing on them. I think the lyrics are pretty lame and it's holding it back quite a bit but that's very subjective. So far the chorus of Say Words is an exception because I like it a lot.

I agree about the lyrics – when he was showing me songs before he finished the whole thing (I heard "The Great Sink", the opening song, and I think "Kynokephalos, Live!"), he also was telling me how the album's concept is a journey of a guy that dies, and gets reincarnated as a kind of dog-man, journeys through that life, and I guess gets reincarnated by the end? He said specifically that the end of "The Great Sink" was where people were greeting him with like a parade into the new life.
But yeah, definitely agreed with the lyrics being the weakest – to be honest I don't remember most of them, I've been focused on all the instrumentation that I like on it. I did like the simplicity on the opening track, though
