The Bee Gees

Jinkies and Masked Antagonists

if we're being accurate to the era the show takes place in (which I'll say is kind of fixed at the early '70s, style-wise):
Shaggy: Blue Cheer, War, Santana, Spirit, Led Zeppelin
Daphne: The Carpenters, The Archies, The Partridge Family
Velma: Neil Diamond, Bay City Rollers, Tom Jones
Fred: Gary Pucket and the Union Gap, The Hollies, Don McLean

nailed it
>>64178230
pretty good... was Velma supposed to be a hip chick though?
come to think of it, she does look pretty cool, but I always read her as kind of a normal girl, hence my having her into Tom Jones-type stuff >>64178306
but yeah I agree, Fred could just as easily be into The Beatles and The Beach Boys, although Shaggy would be into The Beatles too... they all would be
>>64178361
yeah, looking at Fred again, he is very very early Beach Boys.

Ghost bc
I find this fascinating for some reason. Kind of feel some geekish impulse to map out the music styles all cartoon characters would listen to.
This was always particularly evident with Scooby Doo, though. Was always a real sense of style and time and place to them.

The Archies

The Banana Splits
Fred, jock though he is, does look like the kind of guy that would be into Curt Boettcher-produced/associated bands.
Shaggy: Black Sabbath's first six albums,Kyuss,Sleep
Daphne: The Ronettes,The Supremes,The Shangri-las
Velma:The Beatles,Romantic Era Composers

>mfw Simmons did a cameo in a Powerpuff Girls episode (not in person, I suppose)
Which one is Belma again?
Sonny & Cher, KISS. Practically any band that has ever made a guest appearance on any of their shows.
>>64178102
surf rock
Shaggy: Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Phish, The Doors
Velma: Jazz and Classical artists too patrician for any /mu/tant to name
Daphne: Top 40 girls groups
Fred: Disco
Scooby: Musique concrete, Hans Krusi, sound collages, lowercase, and harsh noise
>>64178161
Who the FUCK is Belma?!
I imagine pavement and dinosaur Jr mostly for shaggy and scoobs
>>64181591
She was a character that got left out at the last minute because Scooby Doo was originally sponsored by cereal companies, and featuring a character with an eating disorder might've cut into their profits, so Belma never actually appeared in any episodes.
