Yeah I GUESS. I love listening to this record on speakers and if there is something to be said about the disadvantages of albums where the utmost clarity and separation of sound is ideal is that you won't be experiencing them out in the world, you won't be mulling them over and have some grand realization or moving esthetic wha-blammo moment on public transport. And especially with Loveless. If it wasn't so damned sensual it would be very impersonal. But like also, fuck you. Who the fuck are you? Just kidding. What do you like the best? What record could you name that is the shit? Give it to me. What do you love as much as I love Loveless?

Not OP here, but like, When You Sleep is one of the better tracks on the album. Obviously not wholly representative, but I hope you're not one of those people who deny one of the main draws of the album to argue through one lens when in fact the appeal of the record is multivalent and shouldn't be diminished in this sense.

Anyone who thinks WYS is in the top 3 Loveless tracks clearly doesn't understand the album. I'd liken it those who believe the title track is the only good track on L&GWAFIS.

You're fucking delusional. When You Sleep is huge. Loveless contains multitudes. When You Sleep contains multitudes. "I don't know what's real" right? like he's in love so she's his reality, but also, no, that girl has ripped him apart - she's not real. It's triumphant but as it climaxes you're gonna cry. Perfect flipside to To Here Knows When which is all-consuming. When You Sleep pulls something out of you. I can't be coherent, but at least I'm not blindly and blandly dismissive of a song like WYS' power. gooooooooooood damn you.
