Not a jazz album. Cowboy Bebop was a good show though. Space Lions was the only good song out of it.

What a fucking gem of an album. He passed away recently too - and probably will never get the recognition he deserved.
Pic related is one of my favorite jazz albums of all time. It's what got me into jazz.
I saw Joshua Redman live a while back and I started spilling spaghetti when I met him. It was a rewarding experience though, and I mean it was like meeting fucking superman to me.

Speaking of which, does anybody have any suggestions for jazz albums that sound like "Tank!"? Honestly, I know plebs ask this a lot, but after all the jazz I've listened to, I don't think I've ever listened to anything that captures that really high-octane jazz feeling. Bebop/post-bop I've listened to just never seems to touch it. I mean you certainly have your high tempo bop, but seems like nothing ever comes anywhere even CLOSE to the raw energy that leaks from that song (or just the album in general in parts.)
