I was like that when I was a teenage Coil fan except I didn't smoke weed or like NIN (ever). I didn't watch Pasolini films or know anything about de Sade but I was really interested all kinds of sexual and violent art. Good times.

Is it wrong if you've never listened to any of the entry-level artists any genre wise but are listening to newer stuff and something people would consider either "more complex" or "avant-garde"?
For example, I never listened to Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, the list goes on... but I listen to Morton Feldman, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Horatiu Radulescu, Igor Stravinsky, etc.
Am I missing out? Or is it good to skip all the entry-level things because they're outdated and simple compared to newer artists?

nothing is "wrong" with it, it's just good in general to understand the roots of any kind of music, which for classical music would mean going back much further than the earlier composers you named, but many contemporary classical composers do not necessarily take their influence from older classical composers and it is just as valid to listen from back to front as it is from front to back, hearing the earlier composer's roots in the music of those you started with

I probably couldn't recommend anything outside entry level stuff you already know about. Some Answer Me! magazine articles are nice for that ultra edginess, zines overall actually but they can be difficult to find.
But overall I think that the well known ero guro artists are really good, and other big names like Trevor Brown. It's a theme that easily gets just too egdy to be taken seriously (in a bad way), lots of art with sexual and violent themes just becomes really silly.
So I'd say that start from the big names and browse through lots of weird porn, weird porn is actually often way more disturbing and strange than "real art" because it usually aims for arousal and not aesthetics or a message or something like that.

In classical entry-level doesn't mean simple, they have other criteria for complexity of music besides just how hard it is for your ears. You have a typical "pop music fan" approach to classical, which is normal (it's REALLY common among underground music fans), but it's recommended to broaden your horizons and try to understand why the old classics are so respected. You'll probably enjoy the contemporary avantgardists more then too, because you understand the intellectual basis and historical context for their work.

The only Vangelis fan I have met IRL (well, only young Vangelis fan, my dad went through a horrible new age phase when I was a kid, lots of Vangelis and Windham Hill 'artists') was the one kid in my high school who was in a wheelchair. He was pretty quiet and introverted and didn't hang out, so it didn't really seem as odd as it would have for a normal kid.
