Why isn't the Jazzmaster as popular as the Strat or Tele?
>>64129988
It is in shoegaze :^)
>>64129988
Strats and Teles have been around for longer than Jazzmasters
It's probably more popular right now desu. That is a lovely specimen in your pic

Switches in dumb places
Too many tone options
Shitty bridge
>>64130060
can confirm switches are in dumb places
since when is too many tonal options a bad thing
>>64130077
It's not a bad thing, but we're talking about why it wouldn't be as popular. Strats and Teles are just more accessible.
They were more expensive when they first came out; which is one of the reasons they didn't pick up in popularity right away.
>>64129988
because it's a hipster meme
>>64129988
Because not everybody has seen the light of Shugazi, unfortunately.
>>64129988
It's not as hand-holding as strats or teles with the amount of tonal control it gives you, and it's not as cutting as a strat or a tele which is necessary in poppier music. The jag is the same story, although it cuts way harder than both strat and tele
>>64130060
The pickup switch is in an even worse place on a strat. It's literally in the strumming path.
>>64129988
it's more """hip""" but strats and teles have a heavy and long tradition

Jazzmasters are the vapes of the guitar world: trendy garbage and anyone who has one can't shut the fuck up about the fact that they own one.

Jazzmasters are inferior Jags.
