You should listen to every genre even though hip-hop is conceptually the weakest type of music. It's just samples from superior tracks and when it's not sampled, it was a beat that was made under 5 minutes on a computer that wasn't even made by the artist that raps on it but gets more credit anyway. You also shouldn't listen to it if you're not black because that music isn't made for you.

I've been listening to hip-hop for years because I'm entitled to listen to it unlike most people here who aren't even black. The best type of hip-hop are the ones that barely even use the conventions the genre is known for. I get the same response whenever I criticise the genre which I'm in the position to do since I have grown up with different types of hip-hop music. People that defend a genre like this probably never listens to other music. I'm black and you're probably not, so my opinion is worth more than most people here.

well I'm white and have been listening to hiphop almost exclusively for 25 fucking years now (age 10 til now at 35). I own about 2000 casettes/CDs/vinyls that I bought with my own money. Skin color has nothing to do with it, you don't get to ''choose'' which music you enjoy dipshit
