Relatively cheap build, no counterweight, no antiskate.

Hey, guys.
I have a question. So I have an older higher end pioneer turntable that I got from my father but the vinyl I play on it usually skip loop at around the last 5-10 seconds of each side.
At first I thought the anti skate was set too high but now I think it has to do with the point at which the auto-return is set on the player but I could not find any way to adjust it. I even downloaded the manual to see if anything was mentioned in there but could find nothing.
Not sure anyone can actually help me but if this is some common problem that is just due to my incompetence I'd like to know.
Record model is Pioneer PL-55x if that means anything to anyone. I've already googled, I'm not helpless.

You are correct. The auto-return is causing the problem.
On most record players that have it, it should be adjustable by lifting up the rubber cover and looking for the mechanism that reacts when you move the tonearm in. There should be some mechanical way to adjust it.
I'm planning on getting the AT-LP120 and no one puts good speakers for them. So what are they /mu/

I've never once seen anybody provide anything but anecdotal evidence to support that. Crosleys will fuck up your records because they have abysmal build quality and I've seen records that have been gouged to shit by those players, but I've never known any such issues with an LP60.
