Thoughts on Rome's new ep Coriolan?
I think it's nice except for its rather short length and that one horrible rock song. Pretty good, but nowhere near Jerome's older stuff.

Probably Die Æsthetik der Herrschaftsfreiheit because and Nera. Nera exemplifying his best martial industrial stuff and Æsthetik his best neofolk stuff. Wih I knew more neofolk bands like Rome, he's the only one besides DI6 and Derniere Volonté who gets the right mixture between pop and experimentation right.

Neofolk can be many things. Nazi music for example, or hippie music. Even gay emancipation music, this shit is pretty all over the place. Most of it is pretty harmless folky music about trees and mountains and stuff with lots of flutes and tribal drums, then there's the militaristic stuff which uses more samples and synths beside acoustic guitar and martial drums, some of which is more or less SM fetish stuff, some of which is occult and fascist and most of which is just the product of the musicians' fascination with history and war. An underlying theme of all neofolk is the middle-aged male singers' flat delivery.

Is Comus Neofolk? rabbit-era Swans? Grouper?? Does Martial Industrial fall under the umbrella of the term?
