I think Band On The Run is the best ever solo Beatles album personally. If you haven't checked that out you definitely should.

It got some brownie points for influencing Interpol and The National which are two of my favourite bands and the bass in that entire album is sublime. Plus Discord and She's Like Control are 11/10 songs. All that combined and it comes to a 5/10. If this were some random no-name band yeah I might have given it a 4.

I just think it's worse than Unknown Pleasures. Similar atmosphere, but there's something really mechanical and unorganic about Unknown Pleasures, which always seemed great to me.
