Waters Era is great I love it, like almost every album except ummagumma and the final cut, and I never cared for the Gilmour albums.

Finally listened to DSotM a few days ago.
I listened to WYWH and AHM a few years back, both of which I largely enjoyed.
I put off dark side because of how popular it is with pseudo intellectuals.
That being said I think it's a pretty damn good album, 10/10 in fact, I find no faults.
Which puts it on the same level as the other two albums of theirs I've heard.
However out of them Dark Side might be my favorite because it's a bit more melodic.
The Wall is literally their best album

I actually love the Final Cut, it's very intimate and emotional.

Animals, DSotM, and WYWH are all overrated but still pretty good.

The Division Bell is really good. Actually a very beautiful album. People just hate it because it's the cool thing to do.

But mom, animals is a wonderbar record. I wouldn't say it beats dsotm, and I'll also have to admit its pretty edgy, but fuck if it doesn't deserve it's place near the top of the list
Man Pink Floyd is honestly one of my favorite bands and I hate how /mu/ does them. It's a classic case of "if it's popular it's bad". Piper is amazing, but so is almost all of their discog so saying only Piper is good is a terrible opinion.
Also, what's the issue with The Wall? I think it's great. Is it just a meme to hate it? Is there anything legitimately wrong with it?

I don't like WYWH, I like the title track and I think its one of their best individual songs, but as an album I feel its mostly just like they recorded an instrumental jam and thought 'that'll do'
Division Bell and Endless River were decent. People always cite Gilmore for his guitar and synths and he was really good on both
