if you're talking about my gybe ratings, that's just how i feel about those albums. i really like the earlier stuff (8 and 7 are high ratings as far as i know). the problem is you probably think anything 7 and lower is shit, where as 5 to me means average.

No, I was wondering about your LYSFLATH rating, as well as FA infinity rating. For me at least, LYSFLATH is like a movie, an experience to remember, just a perfect album through and through. FA is so dreary and dark, depressing and eerie, yet somehow beautiful. One of my favorites for sure, so I just wondered how you "only" rated them good, and therefore asked for your reasoning.

I honestly think that besides wildstyle vice city's soundtrack is good, but not really outstanding. The game is the pinnacle of the series for sure.
Also vice city stories nailed the 80's radios far better in my opinion.

IMHO it's a great record, the only bad part about it is that it feels like a bad kind of quirky. There's all these sounds that are sampled and it sounds more like noise than music.
People tend to consider this a large mistake, but everything else is fine.
Plus, it amazes me how Strawberry Jam sounds like an album released recently. It deserves the 10 because it saw a lot into the future. MPP and CHz already show their years.

That's fair but really I think most people haven't given TKOL enough credit. It's bad cover art, unmemorable release, and the fact that it only has 8 tracks tainted how people thought of it I think. It's a really interesting direction for the band, it creates an incredible sense of groove that is found in no other radiohead release. Very complex rhythmically, different instruments layer on top of each other to the point that you can't separate them. It's just a really beautiful album, and RH's most cohesive since Kid A.

i remember there were mentions that he was gonna release a demo called schnee, which was probably gonna be a compilation of schnee from the split, and schnee II and III which i think were first released on his myspace, maybe re-recorded. around the time of das tor's released i emailed him and asked him but but he said it's gonna take a whilr, which can mean anything from 3 to 10 years i guess. i live nordlicht too, his album is fantastic. an split would be unbelievable
