any music in guy?
just kiddin mate we don't play them we just look at em
>>64075200
im one of them t b h
only because im too poor for a decent setup tho
>>64075200
>linking p4k
well yea. if I started collecting records it would be purely for the sake of having a pretty collection of nice stuff to look at, liner notes, lyrics and cool artwork etc. I doubt I'd actually play any of it much, there's really no point when you have it all digitally anyway and can therefore play it without damaging anything. why is this surprising?
disclaimer: i am far too poor to collect records
>>64075200
I don't either. I don't have the money to buy a nice record player and I don't want to buy a shitty one only to replace it shortly after
i still live my parents and my house is shitty and tiny and my room like a closet so there's no space for a vinyl set-up. i buy records to support the artists. i also like looking at the artwork and inlays and stuff. is there something wrong with that? when i do eventually get my own place and get a decent setup i'll have plenty of records to try out on it.

also aside from ives, destroyer, and panda those were gifts to me
>>64075695
>stacking records
>>64075200

>>64075850
just for (you)
>>64075744
You never will, everyone thinnks they'll have money when they move out but no, you'll have little to spare on luxuries. Especially when you have a girlfriend that threatens to leave you because you're poor and you have a nervous breakdown over it.
>>64075200
I'm from Texas, but I can't play my records because my cartridge is fugged
>>64076299
>you'll have little to spare on luxuries
senpai I have no income and live alone and I blow well over 500 quid on records every month.
>>64076299
anon could be living with parents because he's finishing a degree. Y'know, so he'll have a ton of cash when he moves out.
I buy vinyl just to display the big art

That's not what it says though. It says half of them that have bought them in the last month haven't listened to them. I don't listen to some of my records for over a month. Although there are definitely poseurs out there that's not what the article says.
I can't wait for the popularity to die down so it can be a reasonable price again.

Neetbux.
>>64076393
lol you believe that? And how do you expect to bring girls back to your house before you're 30? What happened to all this horrible student debt we keep hearing about? More bullshit?
>>64076591
>Neetbux.
nah.
University students don't get NEETbux
>>64075200
i got my m8 a dire straits record as a gift cause i knew he loved the album and he was very happy. he doesn't even have a turntable, he just put it on a shelf in his home studio like it was a painting
>>64075200
Oh god read the fucking article
>BBC News quotes a student in Manchester as saying: "I have vinyls in my room but it's more for decor. I don't actually play them ... It gives me the old-school vibe. That's what vinyl's all about."
>>64075850
I don't have enough room to shelf them all.
>>64076118
not him but in case you didn't know it's not good for them to stay stacked for a long time. they warp.
>>64075200
I hate vinyl.
I will singlehandedly bring forth a cd revival.

>That's what vinyl's all about.
he's not wrong, there's literally no other point
