I think when you express your frustration in such a way it can reveal one's subconscious resentment. In this case towards women and Asian people. Focusing on these sorts of traits also suggests to me a degree of objectification and blaming faceless stereotypes for ones own problems. It could be this. I mean let's be real, a lot of people in general dislike prog for being longwinded, pretentious, wanky, whatever. If the scenes in which it's popular are not welcoming to women that could be another reason. To be honest this is the first I've ever heard of this "feminists don't like prog" meme. I even used to listen to a lot of prog when I was a teen and then sort of grew out of it, outside of a few songs/bands here and there.
