Lots of people have a favourite verse in hip-hop, but what's your favourite verse in rock?
I'm gonna go with the 2nd verse of Stereo by Pavement
NOW I WANNA BE A GOOD BOY
I DON'T WANNA BE BAD
NOW I WANNA RUN AWAY FROM HOME
NOW I WANNA BE ON MY OWN
second verse of My Back Pages
9th verse of Stuck Inside of Mobile
DK's first verse in this track:

BUT THEN ONE DAY YOU FIND
TEN YEARS HAVE GOT BEHIND YOU
NO ONE TOLD YOU WHEN TO RUN
YOU MISSED THE STARTING GUN

There used to be a good copypasta about this picture. Couldn't find it though.

This picture sums up everything I hate about Pavement. Why on earth are they sitting like that? There are 2 perfectly good benches, yet Malkmus is the only one using them? I mean that guy on the left is just plain retarded, but at least he's trying. What the fuck are the rest of them doing? Sitting on a fountain? Playing hide and seek in the bushes? Grow up.
Pavement are illogical.
Range Life's second verse
Run from the pigs, the fuzz, the cops, the heat
pass me the gloves, this crime it is never complete
until you snort it up or shoot it down, you're never gonna feel free
out on my skateboard, the night is just humming
and the gum smack are the pulse I follow if my walkman fades
Well I got absolutely no one, no one but myself to blame

That's the one!

22nd verse of Thick as a Brick.
Teenage angst has paid off well
Now I'm bored and old
Self-appointed judges judge
More than they have sold
If she floats then she is not
A witch like we had thought
A down payment on another one
At Salem's lot

This
First verse of Andrew Bird's Oh No.
In the salsify mains of what was thought but unsaid
all the calcified arithmatists were doing the math
And it would take a calculated blow to the head
to light the eyes of all the harmless sociopaths
