Is this their best work?
Well they've spent the last 15 years re-recording and re-releasing it with slightly different words and titles and keys so yeah i'd say it's pretty high up there.

it's pretty fucking good.
In rainbows will forever be my favorite, though.
no, but pyramid song is their best track to date

Not as good as OKC still. But better than kid a

It's their only good album
I think it's the only album of theirs that was genuinely unique and creative. Things like In Rainbows have absolutely stellar songwriting but Amnesiac just sticks way out to me, it's the oddball child. I'll forever think it's their best.
I guess my biggest justification is that I haven't ever heard an album that sounds much like Amnesiac at all.

Yes. So are the B-Sides.
No
Kid A > OKC = In Rainbows > Amnesiac > The Bends > HTTT > TKOL > Pablo
>>64040009
Goddamn man that would be perfect if you had HTTT above the Bends
not at all; i havent listened to pablo honey or kol yet but:
kid a > ok computer = in rainbows > httf > amnesiac = bends
the b-sides are pretty out there
i listened to trans-atlantic drawl when i was 13, it fucked me up
kid a > in rainbows > ok computer = the bends

If TKOL and Pablo Honey were switched, I would totally agree with you, anon
But these songs on Amnesiac are all of the B-sides and throwaways from Kid A tossed onto a separate release
Why the praise? What if Radiohead released this and is laughing at everyone who thinks it's their best because they know it's just a deformed twin brother of Kid A
Every time I see this album cover in the catalog i think it's this for fucks sake

It's not leftovers from Kid A. Radiohead had 20 songs before the realease of Kid A, but decided to release 2 separate albums instead of one double LP. A few extra were recorded for Amnesiac.
is this their best work?

It's second only to Kid A
Also some of the b-sides off the deluxe edition are better than actual tracks on the album
