that album is okay sober, but absolutely mind blowing high. it's a lot more dense than you'd expect - guess they pushed a lotta details and soundscapes way back in the mix. really only get the full scope high.
This is a must-listen for tripping on acid

OP here, these are exactly my thoughts. The progressions are so subtle that I only really grasp them when I'm high
Do you even acid? That BoC album is next level off 600iu. Check out Geogaddi as well, you'll feel like you're floating.
Earl Sweatshirt - IDLSIDGO
Campfire is one of the comfiest albums ever, high or sober. It always takes me to a nice place whenever I listen to it.
Music Has the Right is the one lacking density imo.

Chromakey is especially more complex than I'd thought. At one point later in the song you get this little "wah-wah-wah" noise in the "verse" section. Nuts.
In a similar "list goes on..." vein, I didn't fully appreciate Oversteps and Chiastic Slide by Ae until I listened to them stoned. Some of their stuff is just plain unpleasant high (too sharp sounding for me) but those two albums have a very expansive feel.

Still love it, but agree honestly. This album is one of my favourites because its been the soundtrack to so many good times with friends tripping out.
Boards of Canada is my drug dB^}
took a lot of adderall once and listened to this shit. really catchy, upbeat and happy sounding music that'll put a huge smile on your face.
