How good is it? I'm planning on getting me one
>>63986981
What drum machine are you using?
I (unfortunately) use Beatcraft
>>
>>63987037

Yep, beatcraft as well. Why don't you like it? The interface is perfect for me since it's very easy to string neat odd time and tuplet-based stuff together, the samples it comes with aren't too bad and it's very easy to put more in if you find something you like better. Plus that godly digital reverb, I actually end up putting a lot of guitar tracks through it just to add that to them.
>>
>>63987134
I love it, but I hate that the speed maxes out at 200 and the kit choices aren't that good. I get free drum samples from Freesounds to work around that, but the 200bpm speed limit irks me sometimes
>>
>>63987265

If you right click on the track itself and manually add a tempo flag you can bypass the tempo restriction. It will reset to 200 occasionally but you just need to play the track itself again to bump it back up. Just be aware that it's very easy to crash the program at speedcore paces, save often.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that

Maybe you'd like some slowcore bands (RHP, Codeine, etc.)
Also recommend some Dinosaur Jr if you haven't heard some already. Specifically You're Living All Over Me. Sounds proto-shoegaze and also inspired MBV's sound and approach to guitar production/technique.

I love Shoegaze, but I've finally just gotten to the point where I find it so boring. The Shoegaze/Post-rock/Blackgaze type things was the last interesting development imo. I don't know, do you guys feel the same? If so, is there any new music that you feel is interesting and exciting and not just various rehashes of whisper vocals, heavily layered guitars, and pop melodies.

Same issue, lots of memegaze, hard to sift though and find the good stuff. Swirlies have definitely kept me going, along with Lilys. Grouper's pretty interesting as well. Aside from that, I've been combing the more underground 90s 'gaze scenes and I may have found some decent ones, but I'm still in the process.
>>
>>63996541
Well I think unique takes on shoegaze is Jesu and Blackgaze. I feel there should be more metal-influenced Shoegaze bands out there, and with more influence than Black Metal.

Spacemen 3's progression over the course of their career is incredible.
>>
>>64015479
What's your favorite Spacemen 3 album?
>>
>>64015548
That's a hard choice.
Probably Playing With Fire. Probably the most intoxicating album i've ever listened to next to Ween's The Pod.

Airs is a great band, despite their new singer.
I can only assume you're one of the members, and if so, hello again
>>
>>64017786
I'm not I'm afraid
Do they regularly post here to promote their stuff?
>>
>>64017805
I can't say they do or don't, but I know I had a conversation with one of them in the last thread.

I went last year to see The 13th floor elevators and it was great. You should try and do a /mu/ meetup.
