With all due respect to Led Zeppelin's innovations, their music is extremely overrated compared to Deep Purple, Cream and Black Sabbath. Everyone praises them solely because they sold shitloads of records, and remain some of the best-selling rock acts ever, while in fact they played pretty average blues rock, and Page continuously stole compositions from other artists, not even bothering to alter them in any way. It's simply a nod to the masses who have grown up with those albums and who will flip their shit if they hear someone insult Led Zeppelin.
Stairway to Heaven is the most overrated song ever, which is virtually unknown in some countries because it's simply not worthy of mentioning. It's there on every list simply because Led Zeppelin IV has sold 29-37 million copies worldwide, according to different sources.
It is better than Dark Side of the Moon though, another big seller. Of course Page did have some talent and occasionally wrote good (but now outdated) rock like Rover, Sick Again, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Communication Breakdown, Whole Lotta Love, and so on. But the amount of praise he receives for those low-effort blues ripoffs is simply ridiculous.
I miss when /mu/ liked Taylor. /tsg/ was the best.

Why can't they both be good? I like Led Zeppelin and I'm not really a Taylor Swift fan but music taste is all relative anyways. I have friends who hate every single band I listen to. It's just a personal taste thing.
