my choice would vary depending on mood, but the sequence of albums reckoning, fables of the reconstruction and lifes rich pagent is pretty damn solid
Monster has the best overall feel. My all time favorite REM song is also on here.
REM is so weird
like, I enjoy their music when I hear it, I know they made a lot of good albums that I like
but if I think about them or the prospect of listening to them I just feel bored

My favorites are Murmur, Reckoning, and Automatic for the People. I love their whole discography give or take two or three albums. Even their post-Berry material has some great songs.
