I was recently introduced to Gris and I wanna hear more good depressive suicidal black metal
I've been listening to DSBM for a while now, and I could never get into Gris for some reason.
Either way:
Sapthuran - To the Edge of Land
Beyond the Ninth Wave - s/t
Leviathan - Howl Mockery at the Cross
Xasthur - To Violate the Oblivous
And End... - Between Lights and Lies
Forteresse - Les hivers de notre époque
try make a change kill yourself and happy days

literally the only depressive black metal i've liked is ColdWorld, and i've tried a lot. ColdWorld is really good though.
The Ruins of Beverast doesn't fit the typical DSBM mold, but I find it to have a similar effect. Start with Rain Upon the Impure, my favorite of theirs

extra points for Russian/Eastern European DSBM
Check out this chart.
Sombres Forets are also from Quebec and are like the slighty/not as good version of gris. Still enjoyable though.

Also check out Silencer. It's the only DSBM album that I actually have a hard time listening too. The vocals are fucking bizarre and definitely take some time getting used to. The lyrics are absolutely twisted.
My favorite album is definitley Il Etait Un Foret... , though.

>Xasthur - To Violate the Oblivous
Does Xasthur count as DSBM?

Most of their shit does.

I love the shit out of Etheral Shroud, didn't realize they were DSBM

Definitely some depressive elements in their music. Read into their lyrics if youre interested. Very depressive-suicidal.
It was one of my favorite metal releases of last year.
