Paint this picture in your minds:
You check out an album on release date, listen to it a few times, really enjoy it.
Maybe you aren't picking out the fine details of everything, maybe you aren't picking it apart. But you're definitely enjoying it a lot.
Then Fantano drops a review on it, and he rips it apart.
He starts commenting on features that were going over your head, nuances about the production. He starts pointing out that "x" sound is derivative, and how sound "y" just blended into the background.
Then, you go and listen to it again, and your mind is tainted.
Can you guys listen to albums the same after Fantano reviews them. Specifically, when he rips albums you like. Can you guys honestly just ignore everything he says and continue to enjoy it to the exact same level.
This is obviously directed at people who regularly watch Theneedledrop, if you hate Fantano and hold his opinions to no regard, of course this is not for you.

No. It's funny how I listen to an album and then go to his videos and guess the score right though.

Fantano is terrible at explaining why he likes/dislikes albums, his criticisms don't bother me because they rarely even make sense.
However when Scaruffi rips an album I like apart, now that hurts.

He rarely reviews something I listen so I don't have this problem. I did like Christmas Island a lot but he thought it was mediocre. I didn't change my opinion of the album but he definitely did make me note some of its less shinier parts.
