1. Originality. People may say it's inspired by Aphex Twin, but it's still 100% radiohead and nothing else quite sounds like it before or after.
2. It's a scathing critique of the information era, globalization, capitalism, alienation from increased technology, pretty much everything wrong with 21st century life.
3. It's really varied. It goes from electronic, to jazz, to classical, to avant-garde, but still stays Radiohead. It's also very complex, musically.
4. It's just plain awesome.
Did Western music peak with this album?

Thank God you warned them.
I just couldn't imagine what would have happened if you didn't step in and tell them.
But Amnesiac is better, OP.

That's not OK Computer
>>63908275
This. Had amnesiac been released first it would have been considered the better of the two by everyone.
>>63908422
no, it would be too advanced to handle
>>63908422
It's also a far more jarring album.
Kid A starts off a bit soft and melodic with Everything In Its Right Place, and from there it's just a bit too "pretty" in some ways. Great, but not as musically subversive as some people make it out to be.
The first four tracks on Amnesiac throw you all over the place, particularly Revolving Doors, and would have been a much more radical shift from OK Computer.
jesus christ op.
broaden your horizon or leave this board now.

But it's so fucking poorly mixed, Half the tracks make me want to go to sleep and then wake me up with The National Anthem's heavy bass line.
