Many dubstep artists have moved on to other EDM sub-genera or are producing for bigger artists.
In your opinion, is Dubstep completely dead as a genera?
What led to its demise?
I still give the old 2008-2013 era dubstep playlist a listen every now and then and actually still enjoy the music. Is anything new still coming out?

dubstep has been dead for quite few years now, buddy
>>63907216
Not necessarily. Some big name producers were still releasing albums as late as 2015 that were still exclusively dubstep.
Producers have been branching out and experimenting a lot more since the whole Future Bass explosion
I kind of feel like trap killed dubstep. It had a cleaner sound and wasn't quite as abrasive or annoying.
I say that as both a trap & dubstep fan.
