Putting the memes aside, where do i start if i want to get into vaporwave and all the sub-genres that exist?
I have listened to that 2814 album, Macintosh and Hit Vibes. Enjoyed them all, but i'm unsure where to go from here. What are your favorite vaporwave albums?

>Like i said, already heard 新しい日の誕生.
Sorry dude, missed that somehow. Hope you enjoy Paranoid Pavement.

It's good to go with the classics like Chuck Person and 骨架的. I'd also recommend James Ferraro's Far Side Virtual. And also:
ECO VIRTUAL - ATMOSPHERES 第1
Sacred Tapestry - Shader
Vaperror - Mana Pool
These aren't my favourites per say, but I believe they are a good place to start. Hope you like them, senpai.

Does anyone else feel that Eccojams has yet to be topped as the best vaporwave album?
>>63903845
It already has

I find Hologram Plaza hard to displace as my personal favorite, so my judgement is skewed. It's just the perfect execution of vaporwave atmosphere.
>>63903352
Hologram Plaza, if you liked Hit Vibes hit up Sailorwave.

Assuming this is the Vaporwave general, I need help finding an album or song given one clue I found in the comments on a youtube video.
The clue is as follows:
VACUUMWAVENATURALぱわ〜
Thank you, and god speed anons.
What's the best vapor-ambient?
I've been listening to The Path to Lost Eden and The Birth of a New Day more than I would like to admit, seeking more. Also if anyone would have some ambient, not necessarily vapory that would give off a similar vibe, I'd greatly appreciate it.

This album gives me a strong sense of nostalgia and also has a bit of vocal sampling. Comfy as fuck. Also the dude browses /mu/

also check out 2814's first album if you havent as well as telepaths and HKE's respective solo albums. Telepath also has an alias called Virtual Dream Plaza, heres his latest release from there https://virtualdreamplaza.bandcamp.com/album/--49

great list,, def check out the classics op.
Also some recent essentials include that recent death's dynamic shroud.wmv album
as well as oscob/digital sex - overgrowth.

This. Strawberry get's some shit in the bandcamp threads for being a bit extra, but I genuinely think he's one of the top 10 vaporware producers.
If you like that kind of music check Infinity Frequencies, or Cocainejesus
>>63903352
same situation here
>>63907558
Yeah i really love his stuff. I also like Infinity Frequencies and Cocaine Jesus although i havent listened to Cocainejesus's release from yesterday yet
>>63904345
Nah, those are more like ambient than vaporwave anyway.
What's some good noisy/ glitch vaporwave?
>>63905049
That's like saying why eat pizza when you can get the real thing by flying to Italy. No one cares about your shotty logic, faggot.
>>63905049
This. Just earlier on /f/ somebody posted a sped up version a Tatsuro Yamashita song without lyrics and it was praised as being Future Funk.
>>63909512
yeah that's how Saint Pepsi got famous

80s japan music is cheesy as fuck dated smooth jazz shit. hipsters only like it ironically because they can't understand it and its the most corporate yuppie thing ever so its ironic they like it.
>>63910575
apologies for the late reply. but, really? I mean have you even listened to the good stuff from japan from the 80s? not the cutesy idol stuff? there are plent of great 80s music from japan you just have to look.

You motherfucker, I might have to rip the second song off of youtube because I honestly can't find the song by conventional means.
I hope you're happy.
Need more shit like nmesh and g h o s t i n g that use TV and movie samples a bunch but also have grooves

>>63912177
last song is good
other 2 are v dated
vaporwave/future funk updates this dated music for the 21st century and makes them sound better
>>63913498
Buy the vinyl? its from his album called dreamhunter I think.
Here's some proto-vaporwave.

Vaporwave seems to be getting more popular over time if google trends is to be believed.
>>63915453
>>63915453
Not on /mu/ though.
Vaporwave is becoming popular with the tumblr/normie crowd (if you don't believe me: Macintosh Plus 420 has 6 million views)

+1 for eco virtual
He recently signed to Dream Catalogue to release this masterpiece
