Looking for albums from the 00s that are acclaimed, but kind of got over-shadowed in the "internet hype" age and never made the forefront of internet circle-jerking. Pic related and good example of what I mean.
not from the 00s but Bill Callahan - Apocalypse

Magnolia electric co was actually really well received on release Im not sure why its kind of fallen in the background now. Personally I think the Lioness is better by far.

That's fine, I don't mind 90s and 2010s too. Thanks.
not from the 00's but Blonde on Blonde
not from the 00's but MBV - Loveless

desu I think albums like Blonde on Blonde and Loveless are efficiently circle-jerked. Not to say they aren't great, just looking for a bit more obscure. Like the two posted above.
Motel Beds - Feelings
it should've been a huge hit in the wake of the shoegazy pop jams of Built to Spill getting bigger and bigger
also Mr. Salad Days is a JAM

MEC is so fucking good

This is a great idea for a thread
Only p4k panned this afaik, but it's fantastic

Alternatively pic related was a 10/10 on p4k but I barely see it discussed anywhere nowadays
Amazing late career album, better then basically any post punk revival album

Good point, I guess I meant overall very positive reception from people and some reviewers. Not necessarily has to be the biggest music reviewing outlets.
Also I think P4K gave it a really good retrospective review.
