Also, if anything it feels like the EP is a suite. It all flows very nicely, and you do get different sections within tracks, so I wouldn't say it doesn't go anywhere.

I've literally explained that they go somewhere and build. Plus a lot of AnCo projects are based around hypnotic repetition, and while Deakin is not using this technique as much as Panda does, there's something soothing and mantra-like about this album.

I understand your point, but there's nothing about this release that's unique in any way. Sure the song have pretty melodies and heartfelt lyrics but I wouldn't say it's interesting or different. Maybe if this came out 6 years ago I'd like it. It's outdated.

To be fair, I think I like the album because I am emotionally invested in Deakin and the other members of AnCo and because it sounds good. There are interesting moments, like the sudden moments of quiet in Footy and the samples of scuba diving in Seed Song (especially since scuba diving is important to Geo and Deakin).
I think that above all this album is carried by its fantastic atmosphere, probably the aspect which is the most unique, and Deakin's knack for writing vocal melodies.
I downloaded this a few days ago and just realized that the last two tracks i have are mali music rips that have nothing to do with deakin
