Blue and Nevermind are both more polished Pop Rock albums with mainstream appeal and multiple hits.
Pinkerton and In Utero were darker follow ups with raw production and much more personal lyrics.
Also both bands play simple power chord based Alternative Rock with catchy melodies. Makes perfect sense m8
