Shades of blue is pretty chill to listen to
This guy oddisse who's local to me makes some pretty chill beats from his early productions check him out too.
Dabbled in fat Jon. I should clarify I'm a samurai champloo bandwagoner. Heard battle cry and was instantly hooked

You'll probably like DJ Okawari.

I liked Nujabes before I really got into hip hop. I started listening to Death Grips recently, I recommend them if you like that experimental sound.
I beg to differ, he has a uniform style with respect to his preferred genres. Like yeh his hip hop beats are usually pretty upbeat. His jazz licks are a bit less coherent. It's called style dude.

Jesus fucking Christ
Try L'orange, chill but not really jazzy. Also check out Camp Lo, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Gang Starr, or Guru's Jazzmatazz

Uyama Hiroto
There's literally nothing like nujabes. I don't know why but there just isn't. You can get kind of close by listening to the songs he sampled

oddisee a fucking beast. production and flow.
I was on a huge Nujabes kick a few years back, and I always went to Acro Jazz One when Nujabes just wouldn't cut it. It's Nujabes inspired, and it always seemed to be the best replacement I could find back then.

I mean Acro Jazz Laboratories. Acro Jazz One is the album.
Amazing, chill and ambient. Ominous at times… overall great album.
Check out changeling and midnight in a perfect world at the very least

I haven't listened to much hip hop and some of that alternative stuff will sound similar to me. Just chill.

I don't think it's inappropriate to be surprised about a very non-chill recommendation in a "chill/jazz hip hop" thread, but ok
